Here’s an Empid (and friends) we had on field trip today. Maybe someone else can post the other flycatcher (which I neglected to get pix of).
Here’s a reminder for Eastern Empids. Any one want to reevaluate the Empid I had at Dacha?
I have a couple. This first one is from NE Oregon on 6/21/22, in Wallawa mountains at 6500 feet in meadows with trees adjacent to pine/oak woodlands. There were at least 5 of the same species within a few 100 yards of each other vocalizing many times.
Saw a post for this gulls book by Fred Shaffer III and so immediately bought myself a xmas present It’s less dense than all of the other gull books I own and has nice short description and good comparison photos of NA gulls. It doesn’t show all the variations, but for your basic gull book…
