On our scout trip Lance and I stopped at Davis Estates Road near Brazos Bend SP. I had heard about this location but never stopped before. It had the 2 things that gulls really love: water and landfill!!! We spent about an hour gazing upward at gulls!! Access to viewing the small lakes is poor…
And finally, here’s another cool gull from Corpus. It took me 7 tries over the past 3 years to finally get this gull. He’s been returning to a bait shop there for at least that long. Also compared to Herring in 1 pix.
With good reports the night before, I ran down to the Corpus hawkwatch yesterday. It was a good morning, not epic, but good.!! We happened to be in Corpus over the weekend so stopped in to see this Brown Noddy that had been hanging around. Sadly he was taken in for rehab just after we saw, but later died.
