Lake Buchanan Cedar Point
Spent 3.5 hours at Cedar Point on Lake Buchanan this morning. 40 species total including 5 Tri-colored herons and a Bushtit. 10 species of shorebirds including 3 new ones for the fall shorebird season: Marbled Godwit, Black-bellied Plover and Greater Yellowlegs. Harlequin Ducks NO
Virginia and I made a quick trip to corpus yesterday for 3 gulls and a duck. Our score on target birds? 0 for 4!! But none the less a great day!!! Especially seeing these early migrants under perfect lighting conditions, in leafless trees at eye level!! DOWN WITH WOBBLER-NECK !!!! (new bumper sticker?)
