The Longspur put on a closeup show — landing at my feet and foraging unconcerned for 10 birders. The rail also waltzed out practically between our feet!

Our group in High Island really enjoyed this hatch of termites in Smith Oaks!! Brought in many passerines. I guess we spent 30 minutes watching.
