Insects Sandia Wetlands
Just back from a few days at Fort Davis. Stopped in at Sandia Wetlands (a nice stop just off I10) and Lake Balmorhea and had 9 species of shorebird. Been hearing many of these on the Oregon Coast. Do you know the ID? (not the robin). Been extremely hard to see (much less photo) any of them. Too many trees!!!
Remember Your Empids ?
I have a couple. This first one is from NE Oregon on 6/21/22, in Wallawa mountains at 6500 feet in meadows with trees adjacent to pine/oak woodlands. There were at least 5 of the same species within a few 100 yards of each other vocalizing many times.
