Here’s a few birds from Colorado this week. This Junco was a window strike but we warmed him up and he flew away. Fingers crossed!!
We spent about 10 minutes watching and photographing this beautiful Spruce Grouse from close range near lincoln, MT yesterday — A lifer!! Found by Mary
Been hearing many of these on the Oregon Coast. Do you know the ID? (not the robin). Been extremely hard to see (much less photo) any of them. Too many trees!!!
And here’s a few other species — all of which were a bear to catch in a pix.
More from the PacNW. I’ve been thinking of the many Western GUlls as “big birds” (58″ wingspan), but they were dwarfed as they escorted this eagle on its way. Eagle’s are 80″ wingspan. Also had gloaming fly-bys of Murrelet’s, Marbled I presume, but couldn’t be sure.
