Allan and I had distant looks at lawn ornaments in Port Aransas yesterday.
And finally, here’s another cool gull from Corpus. It took me 7 tries over the past 3 years to finally get this gull. He’s been returning to a bait shop there for at least that long. Also compared to Herring in 1 pix.

After the gull I drove 2 hours north from Amarillo (who knew there were still 2 hours of Texas north of Amarillo?) for the reported Pine Grosbeak — new for my Texas list. Spent about 20 minutes photographing this lovely bird.
Thanks to Terry for letting me know about this Red-necked Phalarope at Hornsby. I re-found it at noon today.
