Last Glaucous pix for a bit!! I usually think of the Herring as a BIG GULL!! But I was impressed with the Glaucous next to the Herrings and Laughings!!
On Saturday Lance, Jane Tillman and I chased the much visited Gray Kingbird in Houston. Here’s a few pix. I was most impressed with the BILL!! When we arrived there were several kingbirds present and I thought: “is that it?…..is that it?” but once you see that great honkin bill….case closed!!! We also picked up…
Bat Falcon — That’s him on top of the telephone pole just left of the water tower. Got him after about 15 micro-seconds of very dedicated and difficult searching. We saw the Social Flycatcher too, but all my pix (from the scrum) were of Kiss-Katies.
The TBRC is pleased to announce that both Steller’s Sea-Eagle and Limpkin have been added to the official State List, bringing it to 657! The Steller’s Sea-Eagle is perhaps one of the more unexpected addition in recent years, with an adult bird seen and photographed by Kris & Jeff Groscop and Gene & Sandi Roesler…
We happened to be in Corpus over the weekend so stopped in to see this Brown Noddy that had been hanging around. Sadly he was taken in for rehab just after we saw, but later died.
