Pacific Northwest 2
Been hearing many of these on the Oregon Coast. Do you know the ID? (not the robin). Been extremely hard to see (much less photo) any of them. Too many trees!!!

Up in oregon now. I’ve heard Dusky, Cordilliran and pacific slope flycatchers by sound and location. Pix have been tough!! Golden eagle fly by yesterday. I love waking and going to sleep to the songs of Hermit and Swainson’s Thrushes. Glad we got up to the pacific NW to escape the heat
A chance to practice your silhouettes (and to be amazed that Plumbeous V can spell silhouette!). Only had 1 HO empid on this trip thus far. Near Cuba, NM. Not sure species.
Here’s a reminder for Eastern Empids. Any one want to reevaluate the Empid I had at Dacha?
Have a look at several pix of an Empid I had at my place in Williamson County on the North San Gabriel River (The Dacha). Tell me what you think (and don’t peek at comments before you consider for yourself
I enjoyed Cin Ty Lee’s presentation on Empids at TOS!! He’s got some good material on his website: http://www.cintylee.org/#/guiding-services/ I also notice that Butter Butt’s are scarfing down crushed pecans in the street in several locations.
One of our recent birds at “The Land” in the Davis mountains.
Here’s a couple of very nice pix by Dennis Palafox taken at the coast recently.
Here’s some more bad photos for perusal. Bird 1. Thanks to all who are posting and commenting!!! Just what I hoped for.
