I usually think of the Herring as a BIG GULL!! But I was impressed with the Glaucous next to the Herrings and Laughings!!

More from the PacNW. I’ve been thinking of the many Western GUlls as “big birds” (58″ wingspan), but they were dwarfed as they escorted this eagle on its way. Eagle’s are 80″ wingspan. Also had gloaming fly-bys of Murrelet’s, Marbled I presume, but couldn’t be sure.

Baird’s Sparrow NO
Been hunting for Baird’s Sparrow south of Marfa. Had 8 bogies, but can’t get them to sit up. Here’s the best “view” of a possible I’ve had. The quest continues!!! (Note: there’s no bird in the photo).
