Forgot this noble beast!!

Regretfully we were a little short on SHORE for he shorebirds class field trip to corpus over the weekend. But I think we enjoyed it none the less and ended up with around 20 shorebird species!! Highlights for me were seeing a Cassin’s Kingbird at Blucher park, more Red Knots than I’ve ever seen ~20,…
Trying to get a mental handle on timing of warbler migration in Texas. So, naturally, I put together a spreadsheet! From Ebird data. Send me an email if you want a PDF of the graphs, comparisons (eg. the 2 waterthresh) and etc.
Reddish Egrets don’t always dance around crazily. Note bi-colored bill. Corpus 2/24/25.
Last Glaucous pix for a bit!! I usually think of the Herring as a BIG GULL!! But I was impressed with the Glaucous next to the Herrings and Laughings!!
I guess I’m getting antsy for High Island!! Thought I’d start posting a few ID reminders and mnemonics that I have to give myself each year. First one is on the 2 big Rails.
