4th time was a charm for me with the Pacific-slope flycatcher in Texas. Staked out the area with about 5 other birders for 2.5 hours and he made a brief appearance. Then I waited another 90 minutes to try for unobscured pix. He made one more appearance and this is the best I got (he’s a skulker!) Pretty colorful for an Empid
Allan and I made a successful trip to Corpus yesterday for the famous Harlequin Ducks.

Virginia and I made a quick trip to corpus yesterday for 3 gulls and a duck. Our score on target birds? 0 for 4!! But none the less a great day!!! Especially seeing these early migrants under perfect lighting conditions, in leafless trees at eye level!! DOWN WITH WOBBLER-NECK !!!! (new bumper sticker?)

So just had a very cool migration experience!!! I’m guessing 200 scissor tail flycatchers at leander HEB swirling around ti roost (pretending ti be martins).
