Dipped (for the 5th time) on CAGU in Texas — the search continues. Meanwhile these guys are always nice to see.

Oh happy days!!! It’s time to pre-order “The Gull Guide” by gull aficionado Amar Ayash!!! I got mine coming in late October just in time for “I Don’t Do Gulls Gulls Class”!!! Pretty sure ya’ll don’t have enough bird books!!!
Allan and I had a good commune with the Glaucous Gull in Corpus yesterday. (Missed the Iceland Gull there for the 4th time).
Who am I?
After the gull I drove 2 hours north from Amarillo (who knew there were still 2 hours of Texas north of Amarillo?) for the reported Pine Grosbeak — new for my Texas list. Spent about 20 minutes photographing this lovely bird.
