On a walk in the neighborhood I had some nice birds today, ash throated, vermillion, scissors flys, grasshopper, lark, chippy, savanna and brewers sparrows, and black capped vireo. No pix.
Doesn’t look too hopeful for Finch irruption this year, but I hope we prove him wrong . Finch Irruption Article Eyes to the skies!!!
Here’s a few other recent birds from Montana and Wyoming. (the 1 day in my life we planned to go to Yellowstone — floods, evacuation and closure)

I estimated 330 Wilson’s phalarope at Hornsby in this flock, about 100 in a 2nd flock yesterday. 12 shorebird species.
I won’t say it will lead to birds on the ground for us ( having learned my lesson?). But I’m hopeful for Thursday and Friday
