Lark Sparrow
So I watched this Lark Sparrow at L.E. Wood Picnic area in Davis Mnts for about 20 minutes. I couldn’t tell what he/she was up to until I checked the pix on PC. Gathering hairs!!!! For nesting I presume. What eyesight these critters have!!!

Road to No Where (Marfa Area)

Shorebird Count for 2023 (39 or 40)
Today I saw my 39th of the 40 shorebird species likely to be seen in Texas for my 2023 scoreboard. Found a WIlson’s snipe at the Pecos River. (Didn’t get a pix today, this was from elsewhere). Saw 32 species in Central Texas (mostly Hornsby and Cedar Point), 1 more in west texas, only needed…

Final from Granger. It was a 5 Eagle Day!!! And the last 2 were engaged in some aerial combat for over 2 minutes!!
