One of these things is not like the other…..Ok recent gulls class, what do you see here? From Hornsby earlier this week.
Was able to see this lifer reported at Hooks woods on recent trip to High Island. Not many lifer left for me on our annual High Island trip.
Gull #3 for Gulls class. (Same day, location) Gull #3 is an Adult Herring. We can see that this is an adult gull. Pretty distant shot, but if you zoom in we don’t see any ring as in ring bill, but more telling the transition from gray underwing to black underwing tip is more gray-to-black…
Our group in High Island really enjoyed this hatch of termites in Smith Oaks!! Brought in many passerines. I guess we spent 30 minutes watching.
