On a walk in the neighborhood I had some nice birds today, ash throated, vermillion, scissors flys, grasshopper, lark, chippy, savanna and brewers sparrows, and black capped vireo. No pix.

Allan and I headed out to Granger area yesterday on our semi-regular NED (Nature Exploration Day). Another question for 2022 gulls class: with these long narrow wings with black wingtips I thought I had what species? But what species is it actually?

A cool sight this morning: 200 or so cattle egret on Thaxton road south of McKinney falls SP.
Eric and I had an interesting time during April watching the radar for birds and especially cold fronts that might mean a fallout.
