Road to No Where (Marfa Area)
Other than not finding Baird’s (yet) I am finding good sparrows. Here’s a few pix from Marfa vicinity for ya’ll to ID. I’ve had 13 species so far.
Baird’s Sparrow NO
Been hunting for Baird’s Sparrow south of Marfa. Had 8 bogies, but can’t get them to sit up. Here’s the best “view” of a possible I’ve had. The quest continues!!! (Note: there’s no bird in the photo).

The TBRC is excited to add both SMALL-BILLED ELAENIA and TRINDADE PETREL to the state list, bringing it to 663 species! Once again just as i dreamed!! Was able to get this Baird’s sparrow with perfect background in Davis mountains today!! (Note: early April Fools dad joke!)
