Terlingua Trifecta
Just back from several days in Terlingua, Fort Davis, Big Bend area. Saw about 60 bird species, but overall low in numbers. Best bird probably Townsend Solitaire.
Here’s some cool non bird animals we saw — the “B” trifecta — Black Witch, Badger & Bear.
That black blob is the bear. We pointed it out to a man and his son and they told us “That’s the 9th bear we’ve seen today!!!”. I responded with “Well… we saw 10!!!”, but I was joking of course. The badger hung out under that water tank for 2 hours. He’d growl if we got close. I was afeared for my ankles
