Really enjoyed this beautiful and cooperative gull !! I’ve decided Glaucous and Iceland are my favorites, until I see an Ivory or Ross’s at least!!
I’m not at home, but neighbor asking me about “ those birds flying over in V formation “ = Sandhills. Eyes to the skies!! And ears!! My favorite sound!!!
These guys are pests to native species, but there is some interesting plumage this time of year.

Here’s a comparison of Semipalmated with a Least. So I think we can see actual black legs here on this sandpiper. It’s a short-winged bird; wings are just atop tail.
