Virginia and I made a quick trip to corpus yesterday for 3 gulls and a duck. Our score on target birds? 0 for 4!! But none the less a great day!!! Especially seeing these early migrants under perfect lighting conditions, in leafless trees at eye level!! DOWN WITH WOBBLER-NECK !!!! (new bumper sticker?)
Favorite Photos Here are a few I liked. I was pleased to find a Little Gull to get my gull-fix in !! Little Gull Friends !! I really enjoy the 2 groups of birders that Eric and I bird with on this annual trip!! Shorebirds Warblers and woodland passerines are only part of the fun…
Allan and I had a good commune with the Glaucous Gull in Corpus yesterday. (Missed the Iceland Gull there for the 4th time).
Found and error in previous post on Warbler migration. Nashville is a Circum-gulf migrant, which makes sense for what was already cluttering my head

Lance and I seem to have a tradition of close encounters of the peregrination kind on our gull scouting expedition to galveston and vicinity!! This was point blank at Texas City Dike. It was also nice to run into Cin-ty lee at this stop and tell him how much I appreciate his and Andrew Birch’s…
