Flood at the Dacha

Well………………………………….ya’ll have heard me talk about “The Dacha” — my serene place on the North San Gabriel River……….well yesterday it was not so serene!!!

I couldn’t get too close when I went out about 2:00pm so you can only see my blue tiny house on wheels in 1 pix. Most of what you can see in pix is my neighbors recently purchased and renovated white house. I feel bad for her!!!

My outbuildings, camper and house did not float away, but that’s my (empty) water tank floating by in the video.

In the rainfall totals pix my place is marked with a star — 18 inches up in my small watershed apparently has an effect !!! .I was in Austin during most of the flood so was never in any danger.

Rest assured I am living a full and charmed life, so this will just be another adventure!!! The people to feel for are in Kerrville and etc!!!
