Dark-eyed Junco Colorado
Here’s a few birds from Colorado this week.
This Junco was a window strike but we warmed him up and he flew away. Fingers crossed!!

More from the PacNW. I’ve been thinking of the many Western GUlls as “big birds” (58″ wingspan), but they were dwarfed as they escorted this eagle on its way. Eagle’s are 80″ wingspan. Also had gloaming fly-bys of Murrelet’s, Marbled I presume, but couldn’t be sure.
Here’s my second lifer of the trip. Also from near Lincoln, Montana in same burned woodlands. Although we didn’t study this one in B3, I think you can figure it out
and a few more.
Here’s a few other recent birds from Montana and Wyoming. (the 1 day in my life we planned to go to Yellowstone — floods, evacuation and closure)
Who can remember 5 things that ID this bird? Western Montana
Another Empid. I watched this one about 30 minutes. I’ll only say this one is from Oregon. Your diagnosis?
