Spent some time under a tree next to Lake Sommerville yesterday.
Had 500-600 White pelicans, a smattering of gulls (Franklin’s & Ring billed) and 5 species of shorebirds

Looks like a glaucous winged is in Amarillo (from NA gulls fb page).
I had a great time at Granger Lake yesterday, sitting solo by the swim area watching migration go by!! No gulls at the swim area, but good numbers flying by and at 2 poorly accessible roosts.
16 species of shorebird at Hornsby this morning, including these guys which Eric just lectured on last night. If you are in Shorebird class of 2022 — give these guys a name.

Spent monday and tuesday on a quick trip hoping for Gray Gull in the Rio Grande Valley. Didn’t find that gull, but always wanted to visit the famous City of Brownsville Dump !!!! Quite a sight!!!
