Here’s the first bird I laid eyes on at Hornsby this morning. And another I finally got some decent pix of.
A few sparrows from recent trip to Fort Davis area. 16 Sparrow species for the trip. No luck on the Baird’s despite many hours of walking the roads. The quest continues!!! I find the Lark Bunting to be so photogenic!! My favorite sparrow.
Continuing with Gulls FT last weekend: These 3 made about 5 passes in a very interesting display just for us!!!
17 species of shorebird this morning at Hornsby. Ties my personal best at Hornsby and I just missed the BB Plover that was reported. Migrating Franklin’s Gulls and White-faced Ibis also cool.
We had a nice field trip to Hornsby this morning to finish up the Spring Shorebird Class!!. 12 species of shorebird, plus 2 gull and 1 tern species. Some of us also had a bonus bird near the end of the field trip. White-rumped sandpipers are the stars of the show right now, but I…
