Distant Snail Kite you may have heard of at Lake Sommerville SP this morning. Only 144 species or so more to go in Texas.
We happened to be in Corpus over the weekend so stopped in to see this Brown Noddy that had been hanging around. Sadly he was taken in for rehab just after we saw, but later died.
I guess I’m getting antsy for High Island!! Thought I’d start posting a few ID reminders and mnemonics that I have to give myself each year. First one is on the 2 big Rails.
